Dr. Amy Winchester grew up in the countryside of rural Sanger, California and spent most of her time outside as a child. She learned early on that she wanted to help others, starting with the small animals she found. As she grew older, her focus shifted to functional medicine.
Dr. Amy was a scholastic athlete that made regular trips to her chiropractor to aid in her optimal performance. When her horse was injured in an accident at a high school rodeo, an animal chiropractor aided in her recovery using adjustments and low level laser therapy, which affirmed her passion to become a chiropractor.
She chose to complete her undergraduate career at CSU Fresno, where she became a member of the college rodeo team as well as Kappa Alpha Theta. She completed her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology with an emphasis in Human Anatomy and Physiology. Her Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree was completed at Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in 2018, where she was a member of the
Palmer West Sport’s Council; aiding in the recovery of athletes in the San Francisco Bay Area, with pro bono chiropractic care. While finishing her D.C., she also attended Options for Animals, College of Animal Chiropractic, in Kansas, where she graduated and became certified by IVCA in animal chiropractic in 2019.
Dr. Amy’s main focus is on treating the cause of problems, not band-aid solutions. She enjoys working with fellow riders and others that take an active approach to their health! She uses a series of evidence based chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue mobilization, exercises, and stretching to keep horse and rider in top shape.
She is excited to help you and your family maintain optimum performance and live a healthy, active, & functional life.
